"Furniture like objects is an unusual conglomeration of objects as a placeholder for home. It is an exploration of the lack of objectivity in relation to the fall of domesticity. With these objects I am thinking of where utilitarianism, capability, and the making of a home meet. Consumerism has taught us to go outside of the home to fix, to excite, to solve, and to change. There is a current emphasis on the ease of use and the disposable nature of things. I am interested in the simplicity of objects with the intention to fulfill a direct and specific purpose."
