BRUSHWOOD

Emme Rovins is a visual artist fueled by the desire to understand the complex and historical associations between feminine identity and the natural world. As a photographer, she considers the lineage of landscape photography throughout the history of the medium, particularly due to its male domination, as she ritualizes the act of a woman exploring the woods under the cover of darkness. Rovins received her BFA in photography from Lesley Art + Design in 2019 and currently lives in Eastern Massachusetts.
